10 May Snacks in the Game!
Are you the mom assigned to bring snacks to your kid’s game?
We’ve all done it, beginning way back when. T-ball, soccer matches and small league and gymnastic meets? If you understand what we’re referring to, that means you are lucky to have had at least one little person that you care about involved with youth sports. (And when you were not the parent, then you’re the beloved aunt or uncle or grandparent who was coming to support a particular young person in your life.)
But, you know the routine. Whether the gamers were six or sixteen, you may have been requested to bring a few snacks to them at halftime or when the game was over. And this isn’t a thing. You’re still “at the game,” so to speak, delegated to take food into an upcoming tournament in a couple of weeks.
If this is you, here are a few thoughts which may be useful.
To start with, think of bringing something which isn’t cluttered. You do not wish to be outside on a field or on a court, trying to work out the best way to clean a bunch of smudgy, sticky hands on. Try to bring something that avoids all of that, such as fruit leather.
Remember to bring something cool to drink. When they have been working hard and they’re hot, they’ll love coming to get a break and being able to quench their thirst and cool down a bit before having to hit it hard again.
If they’ve been sweating a good deal, they’ll probably enjoy something that’s a little on the salty side. You’re able to help replenish salt levels within your system by keeping this in mind as you take snacks for the group. Pretzels nuts, jerky. . .you get the notion.
You know what? There’s always that time once the staff has finished a you’re responsible for rewarding them and lawsuit. And isn’t treat frequently synonymous with candy? How about ice cream sandwiches? A favorite candy bar? Cinnamon rolls? Whatever it is. . .rewarding them following a job well done seems like a great thing to do.
And, regardless of what cure you choose, remember to bring along a garbage bag to make cleanup easy (and you might want some wet wipes, also, just in case).
And as for other facets of coordinating youth sporting events, we could help with at least one thing. Not all events are coordinated via schools or cities, and sometimes you want to charter a bus for your transportation. That is what we specialize in! We can while you worry about taking care of the snacks make sure that you get there safely and on time with our charter bus Houston, Texas!
